Elevating and Celebrating Effective Teaching and Teachers (ECET2) is a dynamic and inclusive community founded in 2012 as a way to connect and support teachers. This booklet provides a snapshot of the ECET2
community, outlining guiding principles, highlighting its impact, and sharing ways to get involved.
In this open letter to teachers, I am restating my claim that teachers are the experts. I urge teachers to talk with other teachers about their practice, and raise their voice about what they need to help their students learn.
Through the Progress in Action campaign, we’re celebrating what works in schools. And no one in schools works harder than the teachers who dedicate every day to helping their students make progress.
