MET Project Data
With the support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, The Measures of Effective Teaching (MET) project was created to develop and test multiple measures of teacher effectiveness.
Researchers can apply for access to the MET Longitudinal Database, which includes video and quantitative data collected by the project, with the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research at the University of Michigan.
This ongoing series of publications by MET project partners can help states, districts, and technical assistance providers in building and improving a classroom observation system that supports better teaching and student learning.
From 2007 to 2014, Cambridge Education implemented Tripod surveys through its partnership with Dr. Ronald F. Ferguson of Harvard University. Dr. Ferguson and Rob Ramsdell were the professional leads for the survey portion of the MET project and Cambridge Education managed all data collection related to the Tripod survey.
Research shows that teachers learn best from each other, and that a school leadership model that leverages teacher leadership can positively impact instruction. Why not turn to teachers to help lead in the area they know best?
