Genetic Testing and Bio Engineering: Common Assignment 2 For Teachers
The Common Assignment 2 section (for teachers) of Science Unit: Genetic Testing and Bio-Engineering is designed to help students understand how heredity plays a key role in diversity among living organisms, as well as consider the role of ethics in genetic science. Students will conduct an investigation, create an editorial for Science Scholar Magazine, and assume the role of lobbyists to develop a presentation. For easy use and customization, files are available in PDF and Word.
Dan Ryder teaches high school English and humanities, but his students still wind up learning computer-aided design and 3D printing. In his classes at Mt. Blue High School in Farmington, Maine, Ryder has students design and build 3D “fidgets” after learning about the impact of stress and studying social entrepreneurship.
