Professional Learning Module: Modeling the enactment of the Formative Assessment: Sharing Costs Travelling to School Problem Solving
This Professional Learning Module provides guidelines for implementing the Shell Center’s Formative Assessment Lesson, Travelling to School. Educators can use this information to better understand how to apply the lesson, which is compatible with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), to their own instruction.

Much has been written and debated on the state-led shift toward more rigorous, consistent K-12 education standards commonly known as Common Core. At the same time, that intense focus on the standards has obscured an equally important shift – the adoption of instructional resources aligned to the new standards.
