Early Progress on Personalized Learning — Summary

Powerful things happen when learning is student-centered. At Joseph Lovett Elementary School in Chicago, administrators have been working hard to create an engaging learning environment for students.
Far too many students don't have access to a high-quality education. This is particularly true for low-income students and students of color, roughly half of today's student population.
“Why are we learning this?” This is a perennial question teachers hear from students, who sometimes struggle to see the big picture: how their schoolwork is preparing them for life after graduation.
