Children Have the Right to… : Middle School ELA Unit
This English language arts unit helps students learn the skills to successfully argue a claim by supporting it with logical reasoning, evidence, and explanation from reading and research of credible sources. For easy use and customization, files are available in PDF and Word. The unit can also be downloaded in segments or in full.
EdReports.org is an independent, nonprofit organization designed to help educators identify and demand instructional materials that are effective, reliable, and aligned to high standards.
Busy teachers across the country work hard every day to help their students meet high academic standards. Many teachers report spending hours every week searching online for lessons and materials to use in their classroom, and some spend even more time developing and adapting materials to align to their state’s standards.
In the first part of our Progress in Action campaign, we highlighted inspiring stories of educators who collaborate with their peers, ask their students for feedback on their teaching, and try new approaches to help all students succeed.
