K-12 Momentum: March 2020

Dear friends,

These are extremely challenging times as our nation and world seek to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Here on the K-12 team, our chief concern is the health and safety of the students and staff at schools and partner organizations across the country. As a foundation, we have committed at least $100 million to combat this pandemic, both in the U.S. and around the world.

With schools and offices closing, we know you are facing unique disruptions and difficulties in you and your family’s lives.

To hopefully help with this transition, we have included in this newsletter links to resources for teachers, school and district leaders, and parents and families.

Family/Educator resources:  Here are lists of resources compiled by foundation partners.

Remote learning resources: These websites have resources that can be accessed by parents and students at home. Many provide instructions on how to use them if schools are closed.

We will continue to monitor these and other resources for timely and accurate information about the K-12 response.

In the meantime, we urge you to follow the direction of the CDC and local government officials to gauge the risk in your areas and take appropriate action.

Wishing you and your family good health.

Regards,
Bob Hughes
